Caleb Corner

By Julie Hall, Volunteer Coordinator

 Caleb Concert

A big thank you to all of those who participated, and all those who attended the Caleb Concert “Interfaith Festival of Sharing” on May 4.  We also want to thank St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, of Whitefield, for hosting this year’s concert.  The free-will offering brought in over $450.00 to help older adults in the North Country.

 New Volunteer

We welcome newly trained Caleb Volunteer, David Glover, of Whitefield.

 Commodity Food

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program delivery will be on Thursday, May 29.  Highland House Delivery, in Whitefield, is at 9:30 a.m.  All Saints Church Delivery, in Lancaster, is at 12:00 p.m.  New participants will need to provide proof of income, proof of residency (Whitefield, Dalton, Lancaster, Jefferson, or Twin Mountain) and proof of age (60 years or older.) Please call the Caleb Group office at 837-9179 for information.

Volunteers: Always Caring – Always Sharing

The month of April was very busy, with volunteers donating 264 hours and driving 2,571 miles to help older adults in their communities.  We are very grateful to all our volunteers who give so much caring and sharing.  If you are looking for something gratifying in your life, please consider volunteering for the Caleb Group. Just giving one hour a week, can make a BIG difference in the life of an elder.
